In the project Chopin, a new hospital building with 28,000 square meters belonging to New Karolinska Hospital in Huddinge, Sweden, Skanska has chosen to implement BIMeye as their solution for an efficient handling of room descriptions, doors and interior design.
The consultant group consists of both White Architects and the safety consultant Projsec, among others. The two companies are both experienced users of BIMeye from former projects and are the first to implement the apps Room, Door and Interior manager in the project. The new contract with Skanska includes all the apps from BIMeye for an unlimited number of users.
Cost reducing customisation
Together with Skanska, Henrik Good from Projsec has customised the use of BIMeye Door Manager to efficiently optimise the purchase, the production and the handover to facility management and their processes with operation and maintenance. This will be a cost-reducing factor both during and after the project has been finalised for the contractor as well as for the facility manager.
Locum is a loyal client
The project is one of many in a row with Locum as the client. BIMeye has been or is being used in projects like Södertälje Hospital, Danderyd Hospital, Nacka Hospital and in four projects in the buildings 04, 70, 72 and 74 at the Södersjukhuset.
The working method with BIMeye as descriptive database for project tools used in Chopin has been developed according to the directions from Locum no. 25.5.
