New cooperation to cover digital information supply

Besides the challenge digitizing the workflows in the companies in the building industry to keep up in the competition, the requirements for a digitalization of the information on the physical elements are also increasing.

New cooperation to cover digital information supply

The procedures around the process of collecting and archiving this information, can become quite extensive – and without efficient work processes and IT support, also quite time demanding and expensive. In order to help the industry, meet these requirements in the future, Symetri and Logiq have signed a cooperation agreement.

The aim is to be able to offer support to the companies by enabling a digital connection between the specific BIM process driven elements and components in construction projects and the product information available in Finfo, the largest trade database for building materials in Sweden.
The need for traceability and sustainability is increasing, especially when considering the environmental legislation. This is where todays IT experts have a large responsibility to mutually develop and create solutions within modern technology and efficient work processes, to support this need in the trade.

– Symetri has great experience helping the Nordic building- and facility management trade optimizing their workflows, handling facility data, simplifying data management and improving the quality through the entire lifecycle of a building project.

Together with Logiq Finfo’s unique position as a hub for product information in the building industry, we have managed to put together a team where we really complement each other in a synergetic way, says Mats Persson, Director at Symetri Project Services.

– Based on the demands from our existing customers and the increasing needs in the Swedish market for high competency in efficient delivery of data based building materials in building projects and onwards to a digital delivery to the contractor and their facility management and administration partners, this cooperation feels like a natural step on the development path for us, says Magnus S. Tönne, Sales Enablement Director på Logiq AB.
